Hazel Crest Man Charged in Connection With Chicago Heights Teen Homicide

Jeremy Fulwiley, 22, was charged with felony mob action and armed violence on Monday, Nov. 14, police said.
The Nov. 12 shooting at 12:28 a.m. happened after a fight broke out at a house party in the 200 block of West 14th Place, according to police.

"The fight ended up outside in the street where several gun shots were being fired," Sgt. Tom Rogers said in a press release. "One stray bullet had struck the victim, who was one of the individuals attending the party."
Fulwiley attended a hearing on Tuesday at the Markham Courthouse, where bail was set at $750,000.

Chicago Heights Police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are still working to capture others connected to the death, ruled a homicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner.
