Heights Man Critically Injured in Hit and Run: Police Need Your Help

Driver being sought in Dec. 28 hit-and-run accident in Chicago Heights. Police say the driver may be driving a gray Ford Taurus.

Cook County Police are on the lookout for a driver responsible for a Dec. 28 hit- and-run accident in Chicago Heights, according to a news release from Sheriff Tom Dart

Police say the driver’s car struck a 53-year-old man around 6 p.m. as he was walking down the side of 26th Street near Euclid Avenue. A gray passenger side-view mirror, similar to a Ford Taurus, was found at the scene.

The injured pedestrian is currently in critical condition.
