The 61-year-old woman is the fourth cold-related death in Cook County this season, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Bitter cold temperatures have claimed the life of a 61-year-old Chicago Heights woman, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Police found Carolyn Wilkins on the front steps of her home in the 1200 block of D’Amico Drive just before 8 a.m., Tuesday. Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful, and she was taken to St. James Hospital, where her death was called at 8:32 a.m., according to reports.

An autopsy revealed Wilkins died of heart disease, complicated by diabetes and hypothermia brought on by the cold.
