Landlord Pushes Woman into Wall: Police Blotter

DUI and a Little Cocaine

Blanca N. Garcia, 33, of the 700 block of Campbell Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police stopped her near the intersection of 19th Street and Chicago Road for driving without headlights on, according to the report. Police then discovered Garcia's driver's license had been revoked and took her into custody, at which time she was asked to perform field sobriety test, according to the report. Garcia failed the tests. Police searched Garcia while she was in custody and discovered a clear plastic bag containing a substance that tested positive for cocaine, according to the report. Garcia racked up additional charges of driving without lights when required, having a blood alcohol content above .08, seat belt not fastened, no insurance and revoked driver's license, police said.

Sister and Brother Battle

Jesus Munoz, 29, of the 300 block of West 15th Place, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after his sister told police he struck her in the neck with a closed fist. The two then got into a physical altercation, leading to the sister's 10-year-old daughter being shoved to the ground, according to the report. Police saw a bruise on the woman but she refused medical attention for herself and her daughter, according to the report. 

Landlord and Tenant Clash

A 25-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police she got into a verbal argument with her landlord in the foyer of her home. The landlord then shoved the woman in the chest,causing her to hit the wall, according to the report. When police arrived the man was gone. The woman refused medical treatment, police said.
