Man Arrested After Urinating into Lincoln Highway Traffic: Police

John Williams ended up being charged with more than public urination, according to police.

While most people want privacy when relieving themselves, a Chicago Heights man appeared to want just the opposite.

On Jan. 11, An employee at Dunkin' Donuts on 14th Street called police and said a man was sleeping inside the business. When police arrived the man had already left the building, according to the report. Police then saw the man standing about five feet away from Lincoln Highway with the front of his pants down, urinating towards traffic, according to the report.

John Williams, 44, of the 400 block of West 14th Street, was then taken into custody, police said. Police then performed a pat down on Williams and found a glass pipe, normally used for smoking narcotics. Williams was subsequently charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and urinating in public.

Williams is schedule to appear at Markham Courthouse on Jan. 29.
