The home is sacred. Those who break in are not. Here's a roundup of recent home burglary reports from Chicago Heights.

THURSDAY, APRIL 4

Jewelry & Electronics Taken

Televisions, a DVD player, gold jewelry and a Playstation 3 were among the items taken during a home burglary in the 1500 block of Center Avenue, according to a report. The items, which totaled more than $5,000, were in the upstairs bedroom of the home. Police found the front door was forced open. Nothing was disturbed in the front room.

The Case Of The Missing Pink Laptop

Clothing and shoes worth $200 and a pink Dell laptop were taken from an apartment in the first block of Forest Avenue, according to a report. Someone forced open door to the rear, upstairs apartment at about 12:45 a.m. A witness told police he heard men talking in a nearby alley about an hour before the burglary was reported.

TUESDAY, APRIL 2

Holes Shot Into Window

Someone shot six holes into the bedroom window of a house at about 11 p.m. in the 300 block of Iris Avenue, according to a report.

SATURDAY, MARCH 30

Tenant Leaves A Broken Window

A tenant who was moving out of a house in the 1000 block of Emerald Avenue broke a window, according to a report. The landlord said the tenant also did not drop off keys after leaving.
