There's nothing more annoying than finding your car or truck busted up. Here's a roundup of recent vehicle-related burglaries and thefts in Chicago Heights.

April 2: A 2000 Dodge Intrepid was reported stolen. The owner had left the car on April 1 near the intersection of 14th Place and Sunnyside Avenue after it broke down. He returned the next day and found it missing. Chicago Heights police had no record of towing the car.

April 1: Someone threw a brick through the driver's side window of a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan parked overnight in the 1200 block of Park Avenue. A witness identified a suspect but no arrest was reported.

April 1: Someone threw a brick through the front windshield of a 2000 Ford Focus parked in the 200 block of Plymouth Drive. The victim believes the damage was caused sometime between March 28 and April 1.

April 1: The owner of 2012 a Chevrolet Traverse found two small dents and some grey paint transfer on his front passenger side door. The SUV was parked at about 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of Western Avenue when the owner found the damage.

April 1: The owner of a 1999 GMC Jimmy saw a group of kids at around 7 p.m. near the intersection of 16th Street and Butler Avenue with a BB gun. He later heard glass break and found the rear window of his SUV was shattered.

March 31: Someone broke a passenger side window of a 2004 Saturn Carryall parked in the 1400 block of Donavan Drive. The owner said the window was shattered early in the morning but didn't know what was used to cause the damage. The cost to replace the window is estimated at $200.
