There's nothing more annoying than finding your car or truck busted up. Here's a roundup of recent vehicle-related burglaries and thefts in Chicago Heights.

May 30: A broken ComEd power line snapped and fell on a car parked in the 600 block of Emerald, according to a report. The line cracked the windshield and scuffed the driver’s side front fender. The cost to repair the damage was not known at the time the report was made.

May 29: A 2008 BMW 325 was reported stolen from the first block of Olympic Village, according to a report. The victim’s car keys also were taken.

May 29: A 2007 Chevy Malibu was ransacked while it was left parked overnight in the 1200 block of Park Avenue, according to a report. Nothing was taken. The victim heard the alarm go off at about 2:30 a.m.

May 27: The rear window of a 2011 Chevrolet HHR was shattered, according to a report. The victim, who got off work at about 3:30 p.m., found the damage. Nothing was taken from inside the crossover.

May 24: Three vehicles parked in the 200 block of Spruce Lane were broken into and ransacked, according to a report. The burglaries happened between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Nothing appeared to be taken. All three vehicles were left unlocked.

May 24: Someone broke a small, passenger side window on a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer, according to a report. Nothing was taken.
