There's nothing more annoying than finding your car or truck busted up. Here's a roundup of recent vehicle-related burglaries and thefts in Chicago Heights.

April 23: Insurance paperwork was taken from a 2004 Chevrolet Venture parked in the 400 block of West 14th Place, according to a report. A burglar got into the Venture sometime between 11 p.m. April 22 and 9:30 a.m. April 23. The victim was not sure if the van was locked.

April 22: A thief drove off with a running 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, according to a report. The car was parked in a driveway in the 300 block of West 13th Street. Police later recovered the car but found the keys and several items missing, lying outside on the ground.

April 22: A GPS unit, a charger and five photographs were taken from a 2010 Dodge Charger parked in the 100 block of East 16th Street, according to a report. The owner told police she left the car parked in her driveway at about 11 p.m. April 21 and returned at about 6:45 a.m. April 22 to find the from passenger window shattered.

April 22: Someone smashed a window of a 1995 Chevrolet S10 that was parked in the 400 block of West 14th Street, according to a report. The burglar took off with clothing that was left in the truck.

April 21: A witness saw someone break a window on a 1996 Chevrolet Ultima that was parked in the 1100 block of Park Avenue, according to a report. The man who shattered the window took off running as soon as he was seen.

April 20: A window of a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo was shattered in the 1600 block of Edgewood Avenue, according to a report. The owner believes it was broken between 6:53 and 8:50 p.m.

April 20: The keys for a 2001 Buick Park Avenue were stolen, along with the car, from the area of the 16th Street and Union Avenue, according to a report. The owner said the keys were lost inside a nearby Elks Club.

April 20: A man in a grey hoodie slashed the tires on a 2000 Oldsmobile that was parked in the 600 block of West 16th Place, according to a report. Police searched the area but were unable to find a suspect.

April 19: A headlight was broken on a 1989 Toyota Corolla parked in the 400 block of North Concord Drive, according to a report.

April 19: $300 cash and a Samsung Galaxy 2 phone were stolen from a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu that was parked in the 1600 block of Thorn Street, according to a report. Police did not know how the burglar got into the car.
