No Injuries in Auto Shop Fire on Chicago Road

Officials say the fire is still under investigation.

Four cars, some tires and a shed burned in a fire late Tuesday night on the south end of Chicago Heights, according to fire officials.

The fire started in a shed outside New World Auto, located at 2015 Chicago Road, and burned the corner of the main building, according to Fire Chief James Angell.

Angell said the fire department arrived around 11:30 p.m. and had the blaze under control in roughly 20 minutes, adding that the business's main building received very little damage.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, and the state fire marshal is investigating the scene Wednesday.
