Olympia Fields Police Blotter: $11,000 in Jewelry Stolen on Easter Sunday

SATURDAY, APRIL 30

One-Sock Pajama Party

Brenda F. Fuller, 52, of University Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she was stopped for going 27 mph faster than the speed limit and failed field sobriety tests, according to reports. Police said Fuller was described as wearing a "plaid button-down shirt, pajama pants and one blue sock" when taken into custody. She also became irate, refused a Breathalyzer, yelled obscenities at police officers and complained about her husband's employment status, police said.

Lots of Alcohol and Licenses

William E. Bailey, 23, of South Holland, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped for driving onto someone's front lawn on Country Club Drive, according to reports. Police said Bailey continued to drive at a "slow roll" of 5 mph before finally stopping. During a conversation with Bailey, police learned his last name was misspelled on his driver's license as "Baileyl." By searching the correct name, police said they discovered Bailey had a second driver's license, which was suspended.

Shattered Glass

An Olympia Fields man told police he was sitting in his house when he heard a crash and glass breaking. The man said he noticed a 3' x 5'  window had been broken by a rock.

MONDAY, APRIL 25

More Than $11,000 Stolen in Easter Sunday Swiping

An Olympia Fields woman told police that after having 20 relatives and friends at her house for Easter (April 24) and having a plumber in the house the following morning, she noticed $160 and three gold diamond rings were missing from her bedroom closet. The rings were valued at a total of $11,200, according to the police report.

MONDAY, APRIL 4

Blood Stain Leads to Car Burglary Bust

A Chicago man was at St. James Hospital when a radio, a TV, a kicker boom box and amps were stolen from his car back in Sept. 2010. Aaron Clark, who is already incarcerated, was finally charged with the burglary after a Joliet forensic scientist revealed that blood found by police in a burglarized vehicle matched Clark's, according to police.
