Olympia Fields Police Blotter: DUI for DJ; Swiping Some Smokes

SATURDAY, MAY 21
DJ After Hours
Tyrone Arnold, 28, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police saw him swerving on Lincoln Highway, according to reports. Arnold told police he was a DJ and was coming from the Chicago Heights nightclub Reflections. After being asked if he had been drinking, Arnold shrugged and responded, "I am a DJ."Arnold also was charged with improper lane usage, driving with an expired license and having a blood alcohol content higher than .08, according to police.
Suspended License
Temprance J. Lewis, 24, of Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license after police stopped her for having a cracked tail light, according to reports. Police said Lewis also had an open warrant out of Calumet City for another driving while suspended charge from August 2010.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 18
Cigarette Swiper
An employee at the Walgreens at 20950 Governors Highway told police a bald, thin man in his mid 40s came to the register and asked for a carton of Newport 100s, valued at just under $70. The man then grabbed the cigarettes off the counter and ran out of the store, according to the report. The manager chased the man into the parking lot and got the man's license plate number for police.
