Olympia Fields Police Blotter: Woman Charged With Battery After Hitting Husband's Ear

Arrested for Ear Attack?
Yingxue Wang, 28, of Olympia Fields, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after her husband told police she struck him in the right ear with her hand while the two were having an argument over money, according to the report. Police did not notice any injuries on the husband, who said he went to St. James Hospital for treatment.
Suspended Licenses
- David Mason Jr., 26, of Park Forest, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license and not having a front license plate, according to police.
- Vontrell Evans, 26, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with speeding and driving on a suspended license.

One False Name, Two False Birth Dates
Terrence L. Griffin, 23, of Chicago Heights was arrested and charged with obstructing identification, driving on a suspended license and having illegally tinted windows after police saw him driving on Lincoln Highway with his front windows tinted, according to the report. When asked what his name was, Griffin told officers it was "Delmar L. Nelson Jr." and provided a false birth date, police said. When officers saw the name and date were not on record, Griffin told police he now remembered his correct birth date, according to reports. This time, the name was on record but the person's physical description was nothing like Griffin, police said. Griffin was not identified correctly until he was fingerprinted, according to police.

James Williamson, 28, of Park Forest was arrested and charged with aggravated speeding, police said.

FRIDAY, AUG. 26
Suspended with a Warrant
Jonathan Owens, 31, of Davenport, IA, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license after police stopped him on Lincoln Highway for changing lanes without signalling, according to the report. After Owens told officers his license was suspended, police said they also learned there was an active warrant for his arrest out of the Grundy County Sherrif's Department.
More License Arrests
- James King, 35, of Dolton, was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked license, not having a valid registration and not having insurance, police said.
- Edward Mitchell, 37, of Flossmoor, was arrested and charged with improper lane use and driving without a valid license, police said.
