Pace Bus Throwdown: Blotter

A woman threatened to slap another woman and her child while exiting the bus, according to police.

A 20-year-old woman is facing an assault complaint after she threatened another woman and her child while riding the Pace bus, according to police.

Reports say the woman started arguing with another during the bus ride on Oct. 16 just before 1:30 p.m. As she was getting off, she began screaming at the other woman, “I’ll beat your a** b****, but I’m not going to hit you with your kid.”

A rider on the bus reportedly heard the woman take it a step further and threaten to slap the victims child if she could not slap the woman, according to police.

Feeling threatened, the mother picked up a bottle to defend herself. Police intervened before the situation could escalate.

The woman was arrested and an assault complaint was signed against her. A Dec. 12 court date was set.
