Police Blotter: Car Break-in Outside Marcus Cinema

MONDAY, MAY 2

Strip Club Clobberin'

Timothy J. Halperin, 22, of the 100 block of Roberts Drive in New Lenox, was arrested and charged with battery after an employee at Jimmy's Gentlemen's Club asked him to leave because of a disturbance he caused, according to reports. Halperin screamed obscenities, slapped the employee's phone out of his hand and stepped on the phone, before the employee tried to escort Halperin out of the club. Halperin then began punching the employee in the face and body with a closed fist before being taken into custody, police said. 

Snoozing Near the Street

Antoinette Davis, 46, of the 1300 block of Mason Court, was arrested and charged with public intoxication after a passing motorist saw her sleeping near the street in the 1800 block of Chicago Road, according to reports. Police said that after they woke Davis, she became "very belligerent and uncooperative" and was unable to walk or maintain her balance.

SUNDAY, MAY 1

DUI

Martino Guillerino, 29, of the 19300 block of South Halsted Street in Glenwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police saw him speeding, drifting between lanes and nearly hitting another vehicle, according to reports.

'I Ain't No Rapist'

A 32-year-old Chicago Heights man told police he was beaten by two men in the area of 16th Street and Portland Avenue. Police said that when they arrived at the man's residence, two people were yelling and accusing the man of inappropriately touching their daughter. The man told police very little about his attackers and repeatedly said, "I ain't no rapist."

Burglary at Shark's

Someone entered Shark's Fish and Chicken, 120 West Joe Orr Rd., sometime between 1 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and stole around $750 in coins from the business, according to reports. Police determined that entry was made through the roof hatch or vent.

Violent Shouts from a Van

A 39-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police a man began to walk his dog into her yard, but after being told by the woman not to do it he stopped. The woman said the man then spoke to a man in a van, who told the woman he would get out of his vehicle and punch her in the face. After the woman said she was calling the police, the men fled.

Theft at the Theater

The rear window of a 59-year-old Homewood man's car was broken out while he was at Marcus Cinema in Chicago Heights between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., according to reports. The unknown thief took a $200 Garmin GPS unit from the man's dashboard.
