Police Blotter: Man Jumped Outside Gas Station

Chicago Heights police reports, Jan. 24-26

THURSDAY, JAN. 26

Domestic Battery

Tracy T. Walker, 39, of the 0-100 block of Candlelight Drive in Sauk Village, was charged with domestic battery. Police said Walker was refusing to leave a home in the 1400 block of 5th Avenue around 10:30 a.m. when he grabbed and struck a woman in the face. Though the woman denied medical attention, officers noted redness and cuts to her face and collarbone.

Mystery Men

Police are looking for three men, two of whom go by the nicknames “Demo” and “Dro/Ace,” that may have beaten up a Chicago Heights man outside the Citgo gas station on Chicago Road around 10:30 a.m.

He told police he recognized two of those men from the Pace Bus terminal on 16th Street. After they started punching him, he ran to the public library and called 911, according to the report.

All three were described as black, approximately 28 years old, six-foot tall. “Demo” was last seen wearing a black jacket and mechanics jumpsuit. “Dro” or “Ace” was last seen wearing all black clothing. And the third man was last seen in a hooded sweatshirt.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 25

Drunk in Public

Joseph H. Yarbrough IV, 36, of the 200 block of Orchard Avenue in Kankakee, was charged with public intoxication. Police said they found Yarbrough standing in the middle of Main and Halsted streets reeking of alcohol around 11:30 p.m.

TUESDAY, JAN. 24

Domestic Battery

Nicolas Perez, 37, of the 200 block of 22nd Street in Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery. Police said Perez repeatedly slapped a woman in the face in his home around 10 p.m. The woman told officers she would contact Kankakee police about a similar incident between them.
