Police Blotter: Man Refuses to Leave Dealership without Purchasing Car

FRIDAY, MAY 25

Driving with Steel Reserve

John McCorkle, 47, of the 100 block of Governors Road in Matteson was charged with driving under the influence, driving with BAC greater than 0.08 and illegal transportation of alcohol. Police said McCorkle failed a Breathalyzer and found an open can of Steel Reserve beer in his car after he was stopped in the 1500 block of Chicago Road, around 1:30 p.m., for driving without lights.

He was also charged with no headlights, no insurance and no valid driver’s license.

THURSDAY, MAY 24

No Financing, No Deal

Isaac Loluka, 29, of the 0-100 block of Oak Lane in Park Forest was charged with criminal trespassing. Police said Loluka entered a car dealership in the 500 block of 14th Street around 5:45 p.m. demanding to buy a car for which he could not get financing. He was arrested for refusing to leave, according to the report.

Abandoned Drugs

While investigating a disturbance in the 400 block of 17th Street around 5 p.m., an officer found four small bags of marijuana, weighting 2.5 grams, on the ground. It was confiscated and inventoried in the CHPD evidence room, according to the report.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 23

Domestic Battery

Marquis Nichols, 25, of the 400 block of 15th Street in Chicago Heights was charged with domestic battery. A woman told police that she and Nichols were arguing, around 10:45 a.m., when he broke her television and then hit her about the arms and body with his hands.

Trespassing, Obstructing

Dajae O. Lockhart, 21, of the 2800 block of Camelot Lane in Lynwood was charged with criminal trespassing and obstruction of justice. Police said Lockhart entered an apartment complex in the 19400 block of Glenwood Road from which he had been banned, around 6:30 p.m., and then lied to officers about his name.

He was also served with Cook County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
