She Says Car Damaged During Brother's 'Suave' Outing

A Chicago Heights woman told police that after her brother borrowed her 1996 green Chevy Cavalier to visit an area club, he returned it with the front windshield shattered. The woman complained that her brother took the vehicle to Club Suave, 1603 Western Ave. where he got into an argument with his wife, according to the report. The Chevy's owner admitted she did not see the damage occur, police said.

Heights Man Says Lawn Chair Was Thrown at Him

A Chicago Heights man complained to police after a verbal altercation turned into a violent lawn furniture assault, according to the report. The man told investigators he got into an argument with a Park Forest man around 10:55 a.m. in the 1900 block of Bunker, when the other man grabbed a plastic lawn chair and hurled it at him. The Chicago Heights man was struck in the back of head and suffered a slight laceration, but he refused medical attention, according to the report. The Park Forest man fled before officers arrived, police said.

Loud Muffler Brings Traffic Stop, Charges

A Chicago man pulled over in the 1400 block of East End Avenue for a loud muffler faces multiple charges and had his vehicle impounded. Miguel Gomez, 33, of the 5100 block of S. Kolin, was charged with driving with a loud muffler, no valid driver's license, suspended license, and no proof of insurance, according to the report. Gomez has a Sept. 30 court date in Markham, police said.
