Police Blotter: Woman Accused of Squeezing Past Cops to Beat Ex

Robert E. Thompson, 50, of the 14000 block Azalea Park Avenue in Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police stopped him in his pickup truck near the intersection of Ashland Avenue and 14th Street at 1:05 a.m., according to the report.

Attack of the Ex

A 27-year-old Chicago Heights man told police his ex-girlfriend, who works at the same liquor store he does, was hanging around after hours, leading him to believe she was there to cause a problem. Police watched as the ex entered the store, claiming she had to use the restroom. After exiting the restroom, she told police "Thank you for letting me use the bathroom" before lunging at her ex-boyfriend, according to the report. Police attempted to restrain the woman but she squeezed behind the officer and struck her ex several times with a closed fist, police said. Christiana V. Nardoni, 23, of the 3300 block of Halsted Street in Steger, was arrested and charged with domestic battery.

Stealing From a Homeless Man?

A 57-year-old homeless man told police he was eating dinner at a woman's house in Chicago Heights when he told her he was going to have her arrested because she used his charge card, according to the report. The woman then called the man names and told him to leave her home, but not before taking his cell phone and a Charter One charge card in his name, according to the report. Police said they were unable to locate the woman at her home.

Stolen Train Track

Dennis A. Mosley, 29, of the 15000 block of South Perry in South Holland, was arrested and charged with theft and trespassing after he tried to scrap a piece of steel track belonging to Union Pacific Railroad, according to police. Police were initially informed that someone saw Mosley with a piece of track in his truck, according to the report. Chicago Heights Streets and Sewers Department Head Mike Sabo told police he saw Mosley trying to leave a 14th Street scrapping location.

Obsessed With Beauty

An employee at Image of Beauty on 14th Street told police an unknown man called at 10 a.m. on Jan. 18, and was told he had the wrong number. The man called back and told the employee, " You don't have to be a smart (expletive)," according to the report. The same number called several more times over the next two weeks, police said. On Feb. 2 the same man called and told the woman he would perform sexual acts on her, according to the report. She hung up and notified police.
