Police Taser Park Forest Man Accused of Trespassing

Police say John D. Williams has been arrested multiple times in connection with stealing alcohol and harassing people.

An exchange between Olympia Fields police and a frequent arrestee ended with a man being Tasered in a restaurant parking lot.

Police were called when John D. Williams, 43, of Park Forest, was seen at Valero Gas Station, 2401 Lincoln Hwy., according to police.

Williams has been arrested multiple times and accused of stealing alcohol and harassing customers at Valero in the past. In fact, management at the gas station has filed a no trespassing letter against Williams, according to police.

When police approached, Williams walked across the street to an abandoned AAMCO station and continued to the White Castle parking lot with police following him, according to the report. 

After police caught up with Williams and told him he was under arrest for trespassing, Williams yelled obscenities at the officer while continuing to walk away, police said.

As Williams reached into his pocket, an officer Tasered Williams in the back and took him into custody. After searching Williams, police found a razor blade in his pocket, according to the report.

Williams was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest.
