State Marshal Investigates Chicago Heights Fire

Officials say no one was injured in the north side blaze.

Chicago Heights firefighters were called to a house fire in the 300 block of Iris Lane at around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to fire officials.

“All fire stations from Chicago Heights responded," Fire Chief Tom Martello said, adding that the blaze was put out about 10 minutes after the first fire vehicle arrived on the scene.

Firefighters remained at the one-story residence long after the fire was put out, but officials have yet to determine what caused it.
