Tires Slashed on a Church Bus and 3 Cars at Olympia Fields Daycare

The owner of the daycare and the vehicles told police he suspects fired employees are to blame.

An Olympia Fields daycare had more than 10 slashed tires in its parking lot Aug. 25, three of which belonged to a church bus.

The owner of Kids University Daycare on 2420 Lincoln Highway told police four of his vehicles were damaged in the parking lot of the facility while he was inside.

He said he parked the vehicle he was driving at 6:30 p.m. and discovered the damage around 9:30 that night, when he called police.

The owner, who is also a pastor at a Chicago church, told police he suspected disgruntled past employees or even the past owners of the business are to blame for the damage, but said he could not be sure.

The damages were as follows:

  • 2004 Cadillac Deville had all four tires slashed.
  • 2007 Chrysler Pacifica had its passenger's side tires slashed.
  • 1999 Ford Church Bus had three of its six tires slashed.
  • 1997 Dodge Ram Van had its rear tires slashed.

The man said two of the cars were his personal vehicles, while the church bus and van are owned by the church he leads.
