Woman Accuses Son of Stealing More Than $1,000 in Jewelry
The Chicago Heights woman told police that a bicycle, two iPods and a Wii gaming system also were missing from her home.
A Chicago Heights woman who discovered several items of jewelry missing from her home checked local pawn shops and found it was her own son and his girlfriend who took the items, police said.
The woman said she is missing a diamond stud necklace, valued at $200, two diamond rings worth (valued at $700 each), one pair of gold hoop earrings ($150), her Wii gaming system ($300), an iPod Nano, an iPod and her bicycle, according to the report.
