Chicago Heights Corporate Counsel T.J. Somer Will Answer Your Questions

We want you to post questions for the City's lawyer to answer.

It's been a while since we put Supt. Glen Giannetti , and it's time for our next interview for our ongoing series, "The Tough Questions."

This time we'll be sitting down with Bloom Township Supervisor and Chicago Heights Corporate Counsel T.J. Somer to present your questions to the man who can best answer them.

You may know T.J. from the Chicago Heights City Council meetings. He is a local attorney that works with the city government and helps explain a lot of the ordinances and resolutions the council discusses.

Here's how it works. I'll be interviewing T.J. at his office May 26. The only problem is ... I have no questions to ask him!

That's where you come in.

I want you to post any questions you have for T.J. in the comments for this article. You can also post questions on Facebook or tweet them @TheHeightsPatch

After all the questions have been posted, I will pick the top five and have T.J. answer them on camera.

So, whether you have questions or concerns about a law or ordinance in Chicago Heights or just want to know what T.J.'s favorite gelato flavor is, this is your opportunity to get a straight answer.

So, there you have it. Ask whatever questions you want. Just make sure you have your question posted in the comments by 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26.

And if you didn't approve it who did? Also the extra. Charge put on our water bills, where do those go?they have to go to a specific area of the town?Does any go toward the sewer system that has caused flooding in my basement for the last 10 years?

Did you independently verify that your Red Light Camera ordinance was constitutional before it was enacted? Can Chicago Heights afford to refund all the fines collected when the law is declared unconstitutional, like similar ones were in Minnesota and Missouri?

How does it feel to finally be Mayor of Chicago Heights? Has it been hard puppet mastering Mr. Gonzalez?

We have ordinances in the Hts for abandoned cars,no city stickers, long grass, and unliveable homes. I know that I have been ticketed for code violations why is it that Mr. Stanfa Park District Comm for the 4 th ward hasn't been ticketed one time for any of the above violations. So if I do the same thing I won't get ticketed right. Please explain,I can provide pictures if you need some.
