Chicago Heights Police Department Looking for Dispatch Operators
The City of Chicago Heights hopes to fill two positions that will report to the 911 Director.
As the continues its , the City of Chicago Heights has posted two job openings at the station.
The openings are both for the same position of Telecommunications Operator, which involves a number of responsibilities, including running multi-line phone (one of those lines being 9-1-1) and determining whether to dispatch police, fire fighters, towing or medical responders to a given situation.
The job has limited supervision after training is complete, and those interested should be prepared to operate "under stressful conditions."
