City To Invest in Selected Infrastructure Repair

Chicago Heights is accepting bids for storm sewer and catch basin repair work.

Crumbling storm sewers and catch basins throughout Chicago Heights will soon be targeted for repair.

On Aug. 19, the city council voted to go to bid for the infrastructure repair work. According to the city, over 29 different sewer and basin locations are in need of fixing-up.

Catch basins are designed to drain water from paved streets during times of heavy rainfall and elevated groundwater levels.
