Bloom High School Health Fair

Bloom High School is holding its Health Fair, which is open to the community, on Monday, April 25, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair will be in the Nelson Field House.

The theme of the Health Fair is "Healthy Lifestyles."   Medical professionals will provide blood pressure and cholesterol screenings; a masseuse will demonstrate back health techniques and offer advice.

Professionals from health care organizations will staff booths providing information about:

  • first aid and CPR (with demonstrations)
  • dental care
  • skin cancer prevention
  • tobacco use prevention
  • nutritional grocery shopping
  • healthy cooking
  • hygiene
  • bicycle and pedestrian safety
  • healthy relationships
  • healthy fun activities.

The goals of the Health Fair include:

  • increase awareness of health resources in the community
  • provide preventative care information
  • offer screenings for certain health conditions
  • enroll community members into medical programs.
