Chicago Heights, St. James Partner Up for 4th of July Celebration

This year, Chicago Heights is proud to partner with St. James Hospital to celebrate Independence Day and the hospital's 100th year anniversary.

The celebration will be on July 2 and starts with our Patriotic Parade at 3 p.m.  Any parties interested in participating in the parade may do so by completing an application available at Chicago Heights 4th of July Parade Application.

At 5 p.m., our pre-fireworks show begins, located at Bloom High School’s north field.  The show features Abraxas, a tribute band known as Sounds of Santana, from 5-7 p.m.  Grand Avenue Big Band begins at 7 p.m. and is an 18-piece group that will woo the audience with their '20s, '30s and '40s music, and has a Andrew Sisters-styled vocal trio.
