FLU SHOTS

Bloom Township Senior Department in coomperation with Maxim Health Systems is sponsoring onsite flu shot clinics and has announced the dates for the 2012 flu and pneumonia vaccinations. 

Flu season is just around the corner and anyone can be a potential target.  Your best protection against the debilitating effects of this virus is to get a flu shot.  There will be five different clinics available begining WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY OCTOBER 10 & 11 9:00am-1:00pm. 

Seniors are asked to bring their Medicare card and a form of identification.

There will be no co-pay for Medicare Part B beneficiaries.  Pneumonia shots are also available with no co-pay.  Seniors wanting a pneumonia shot should know the exact date of their last one.  Non-Medicare beneficiaries can still obtain a flu shot for $30.00 and pneumonia for $75.00.  Appointments are required  by calling the Senior Department at 708-754-9400 x244.  The vaccines will be administered at the Bloom Township Center 425 S. Halsted St. Chicago Heights.
