New Elected Offices to Participate in State Retirement Fund: On the Agenda

Chicago Heights City Council meets Monday, June 6 with a few items on the agenda.

Mayor David Gonzalez and the Chicago Heights City Council will meet Monday, June 6. There will be time allotted for public participation and comments.

Items on the agenda include:

  • A resolution approving the elected offices of city clerk and treasurer to participate in the Illinois Municipal Employees Retirement Fund.
  • An ordinance regulating the wages of laborers, mechanics and other workers working on Public Works projects in Chicago Heights.
  • Local barber Andrew Boyd has applied for an economic development incentive for the "substantial rehabilitation and re-occupancy" of a vacant property on Halsted Street.
