Public Hearing, Special City Council Meeting about Budget July 17

The Chicago Heights City Council will hold a special public hearing and meeting on July 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Both the hearing and meeting will cover the city's proposed budget.

After the cancellation of the city of Chicago Heights city council’s regularly scheduled meeting on July 15, the council will hold a special public hearing and meeting on Wednesday, July 17. The public hearing will take place at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, with the council’s regular meeting scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Both the public hearing and meeting will focus on the city’s 2013-2014 Fiscal Year budget, as presented by the city treasurer.

The city must approve its budget and submit its budget to the State by July 31. The proposed budget is currently on display at city hall and is open to public viewing.
