ATHLETICS: HORVATH, SWANSON EARN NJCAA’S HIGHEST ACADEMIC HONOR

The Prairie State College Athletic Department was pleased to recently learn that two of its hard-working student-athletes were rewarded with the highest scholastic honor that the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) can bestow.

Sophomore Jeremy Horvath (Crete-Monee H.S.) of the men’s tennis team and Larissa Swanson (Beecher H.S.) of the women’s cross country squad were both selected as NJCAA Athletes of Academic Distinction.

Horvath, who earned a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average in four semesters at PSC, earned the Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence.
