Full Tuition Scholarships for District Grads Available at Prairie State College

Prairie State College (PSC) is accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Board of Trustees full-tuition scholarships. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2014. Students may only submit an application to one Board of Trustees scholarship. Multiple submissions will disqualify the student.

Several scholarships are available. One student from each high school in the district with a minimum of 3.25/4.0 high school GPA is eligible for a full-tuition Board of Trustees Honor Scholarship. One student from each high school in the district with a minimum of 3.0/4.0 GPA who has provided significant achievement/accomplishments in the school or community is eligible for the full-tuition Board of Trustees Achievement Scholarship. And, one student from each high school in the district with a minimum of 3.0/4.0 GPA and who plans to earn an associate degree in a technical field is eligible for a full-tuition Board of Trustees Technical Scholarship.

The high schools in the PSC district include Beecher High School, Bloom High School, Bloom Trail High School, Crete-Monee High School, Homewood-Flossmoor High School, Rich Central High School, Rich East High School, Rich South High School, and Marian Catholic High School.

Each scholarship is awarded for two consecutive years. Scholarship recipients who continue to take classes after the two-year period will need to secure alternative funding.
