PSC Awarded Free Water Station from Elkay

Prairie State College (PSC) President Terri L. Winfree (left) and Sustainability Coordinator Allessandra Cairo (second from left) welcome to PSC (from third from left) Steve Nero and James Jarog of MagicPure and Steve Norbut and Araceli Lee of Elkay. MagicPure is the preferred distributor in the Midwest of Elkay products. Together, they awarded and installed the Elkay's new EZH2O® bottle filling station on the PSC campus. PSC was awarded the station through a contest sponsored by MagicPure, recognizing the college's sustainability efforts. The station is a $1,500 value (+ installation costs). This brings the number of stations for rapid fill of filtered water on the PSC campus to six. According to Cairo, since the first station installation in January 2013, the college has eliminated 12,354 plastic bottles from the waste stream.
