Veterans Honored at PSC

In recognition of Veterans Day, Prairie State College (PSC) honored several veterans for their service to the country, as well as their service to the college, during a special ceremony organized by the Student Veterans Club. Recognized were (standing, from left) Georges Sanon, PSC adjunct professor; PSC student Terrence Mullen; and William Graefnitz of the PSC Police and Campus Safety Department; and (seated, from left) keynote speaker Bill Browne, director of the Cook County Department of Veteran Affairs; and Ignacio Ramos, a readjustment counseling specialist. The ceremony was one in a series of events honoring veterans scheduled at the college throughout the month of November. The day’s celebration also included a Missing Man Ceremony, honoring MIA/POW soldiers of foreign wars. Information about additional upcoming events honoring veterans at PSC is available at prairiestate.edu.
