Bloom Introduces New Boys Hoops Coach
The Blazing Trojans hired Ron Ashlaw as the new boys basketball coach on Monday, May 13. Ashlaw formerly coached at Waukegan, University High and St. Benedict.
The Blazing Trojans boys basketball team has a new leader, after the Bloom High School District 206 Board of Education approved hiring Ron Ashlaw as the Blazing Trojans new head basketball coach, according to the Northwest Indiana Times.
Ashlaw, who most recently coached at Waukegan, was introduced to the student body and community at a recent event at M’Cann Gym. The new coach brings with him a 205-158 (.565) career record and led Waukegan to second and third place finished in the IHSA tournament in recent years.
