New Non-Credit English and Reading Courses

Prairie State College's Community and Economic Development Division is offering courses in reading in writing. These courses are designed for current students who want to brush up their reading and writing skills, incoming students who have a score of "NP" or "No Placement" on their placement essay, or students who took and did not pass Reading or English 097:

Basic English

This course provides basic writing skills for students who need individualized instruction. The emphasis is on grammar and sentence structure. Instructor: Valeria Davis

Basic Reading

This course provides individualized instruction for students who need review of word analysis, vocabulary, and comprehension skill.

The cost is $212 per course. Books are an additional fee and must be purchased in the Prairie State College Bookstore.
