SXU presents networking event focusing on the changing role of teachers

 Saint Xavier University's Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, together with the School of Education, will present "Alumni X-Change: The Changing Role of the Modern Teacher" from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thurs., April 19 in the Fairfield Room at Palos Country Club, 13100 Southwest Highway, Orland Park. Admission is $25 per person and includes hors d'oeuvres and beverages. A cash bar also will be available.

 

An educator with more than 20 years of experience, David Hollander, '89, will address the changing role of the modern teacher and the importance of networking. Hollander, an eighth-grade social studies teacher at Kennedy Junior High School in Lisle, was awarded the Golden Apple in 2005 and received the Saint Xavier University George K. McGuire Award for excellence in teaching in 2007.
