Fire Department Donates Workout Equipment to Bloom Trail High School

The four-sided multi-station workout machine will soon be painted by the Bloom auto shop kids to match school colors.

Bloom Trail High School students may appear a little more buff nowadays thanks to a workout equipment donation made by the City of Chicago Heights Fire Department.

The City Council approved the donation of the department's multi-station weight machine during its Aug. 26 meeting. According to the city website, firefighters were looking to get rid of the unit and Bloom 206 Supt. Lenell Navarre was pleased to accept.

“We’re always looking to make ends meet here,” Reda said. “So when we see something that’s a quality product and someone is looking to sell it at a reduced price or donate, we inquire to look at how we can get it."

The workout equipment will, of course, be painted by the district's auto shop to match the rest of the equipment at Bloom Trail.
