Student Council Elected at Marian Catholic High School

The Marian Catholic Student Council has been elected for the 2011-2012 school year. In addition to planning Homecoming Week activities, the group also schedules several service events for the year, including the Christmas Food Drive, and is pre-planning the annual Children’s Carnival for spring semester. With representatives from every homeroom, the large group ensures that every grade level is guaranteed a voice in decisions which affect the student community.

Donate a Car to Help Students at Prairie State College

(PSC) is accepting used car donations to help students in the automotive technology program. One donation can be used to educate hundreds of students in more than 10 degree and certificate programs.

These vehicles are used by students in the lab. Vehicles are used for up to five years and typically serve around 80 students a year in the program.

GSU Sponsors Business, Administration, and Communications Career Fair

The Office of Career Services at is sponsoring a career fair for people interested in careers in business, communication, and public and business administration. In addition to employment opportunities, the fair will also include internship opportunities.

The 2011 Business/Administration/Communications Career and Internship Fair is on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the Hall of Governors.
