Marian Catholic Chorale Gets Thrill of a Lifetime with Performance at Carnegie Hall

Students performed on the stage and also received guidance from the director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

Members of the Marian Catholic Choral Program participated in an amazing performance at Carnegie Hall.  The Marian Catholic Choral program traveled to New York City April 25–27 to take part in an extraordinary learning experience.  Not only did students learn from top musicians in the world, they also took advantage of performing on stage at Carnegie Hall.

Aside from the excitement of being in New York City, the Marian students overall enjoyment of performing at a prestigious venue, Carnegie Hall, was an astonishing experience.

"The students were very excited to get to Carnegie Hall! Being so busy with all our touring of the city and music workshops, the kids were just ready to perform on stage,” said Choral director Claire Aronson.

The members of the Choral program performed, and also took part in workshops and rehearsals.  Workshops were held at the Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College.  Students also rehearsed with the director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Grant Gearshon, in New York City.

Marian students managed to get as much of New York City in as possible. When not taking part in their musical endeavors, choral members made visits to The Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, Time Square, and many more sights to fill up the experience of New York City.
