Marian Students Organize Electronics Recycling Drive

45 Marian Catholic students volunteered during the Community Electronics Recycling Drive, organized by the student group, Generation Green. The event filled two trucks with used electronics to be recycled.

Marian Catholic High School students who are part of the school's Generation Green held their second annual Community Electronics Recycling Drive in May, Sun-Times Media reports.

The drive, which was organized by students, was held in the school's parking lot, with local community members dropping off televisions, computers, household appliances and more.

During the drive, two trucks were filled with used, broken or unwanted electronic items to be recycled.

The 45 students who participated earned Community Ambassador status for their volunteer efforts.
