Two Bloom Trail Students Selected for Elite NJROTC Summer Seminar

Bloom Trail High School juniors Isaiah Quinn and Josh Witt were recently selected to attend a Summer Seminar program at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The pair will also receive a grant to cover the full cost of travel and lodging.

Two Bloom Trail High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps members are set to get a firsthand look at exactly what the U.S. Naval Academy is like, after being accepted to the NJROTC Summer Seminar. More than 8,200 students nationwide applied for acceptance to the program, with only 2,100 admitted. Bloom Trail juniors Isaiah Quinn and Josh Witt were among those granted entry into the program.

The pair were also two of the few selected for a grant that will cover all transportation and lodging costs for their stay at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. While at the seminar, the pair will receive first hand experience on the expectations placed on cadets at the academy.

By attending the summer program, both Quinn and Witt are considered applicants for the academy in the fall of 2014, after they graduate from Bloom Trail.
