Spartans' running back piles up 195 yards and scores two touchdowns in a victory over Benet Academy.
The Marian Catholic football team expected running back Jeruel Taylor to put up big numbers. In the Spartans' first two games, both victories, he has done just that.
In a 27-7 victory over Benet Academy on Friday at Benedictine University, Taylor rushed for 195 yards on 27 carries. He also scored two touchdowns.
As a result of the performance, Taylor is honored today as the Chicago Heights Patch Athlete of the Week.
