Bloom HS Senior Named to Chicago United Hoops All-Star Game

Johnny Griffin, a senior forward for the Blazing Trojans, was named to the Chicago United Hoops Classic All-Star team recently. He competed in the All-Star game May 4, at 2 p.m. at the University of Chicago Ratner Center.

Bloom High School basketball player Johnny Griffin, a senior forward, recently was honored with being named to the Chicago United Hoops All-Star Team. Griffin, who lead the Blazing Trojans to the Sweet 16 of the IHSA tournament this year, played in the 2013 Chicago Untied Hoops All-Star game on May 4 at the University of Chicago.

The game, which tipped off at 2 p.m. at the Ratner Center, featured the top seniors from the Chicagoland area. Along with the game there was also a lifetime achievement award presentation to Sonny Parker. Notable attendees scheduled to be at this year's game included: Scoop Jackson, Bears and Bulls Players, Ronnie Fields and DJ Mustafa Rocks of Power 92.3.
