The Associated Press is reporting that former Marian Catholic star and Chicago Heights native Dennis Kelly has been selected as a fifth round pick in the NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kelly is finishing up his senior year as an offensive tackle for the Purdue Boilermakers, where he started in every game the past three seasons. He is a graduate of
At 6-foot-8, 381-pound Kelly is known for his aggressive play and intimidating size. He is suspected to provide depth at a position after the Eagles lost five-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jason Peters who tore his Achilles’ tendon in the off season.
