District 227 Hosts Communitywide Super Bowl Party

In a move designed to bring members of the community together, Rich Township High School District 227, in conjunction with the members of the Superintendent's Community Advisory Council, announces the  first Communitywide Super Bowl Party on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. in the Rich South cafeteria.

This free event is open to all members of the District 227 community and will offer food, fun, prizes and activities for all ages. The inaugural event is completely funded by donations from local businesses and promises to be a festive gathering for all.

"We're delighted that the members of our Community Advisory Council have taken such an enthusiastic step toward  bringing our community around a common goal," said Supt. Donna Simpson Leak.

“This Super Bowl party is a small step in a series of steps meant to bring this community together around a common purpose, creating the best environment that provides a quality education for our children,” said Jeffrey Mitchem, a member of the Community Advisory Council.
