Free Fishing Derby

Is there a better way to spend Saturday morning than wetting a line with the family? Yes-when the fishing is free! The Illinois Department of Natural Resources annually provides fishing without a license the first weekend in June. The Olympia Fields Park District will hold its first fishing derby this year at the Metra Pond at 203rd and Kedzie. Prizes will be awarded. Bring your own pole and bait. All children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
