Golf Outing to Support Children and Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Enjoy a day of golf while helping people with disabilities.  Rose Paving, Event Sponsor for SouthSTAR Services 2012 Golf Outing, is looking forward to just that!  C.B. Kuzlik, senior vice president and co-owner of Rose Paving, along with 11 other employees are looking to raise funds to support SouthSTAR Services, a program serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in Illinois and Northwest Indiana. 

This is the second year Rose Paving has supported the outing but the first as Event Sponsor.  “We are very thankful for the support Rose Paving has given SouthSTAR over the years.  We needed an event sponsor for our golf outing and they graciously accepted.” stated Cheryl Cherny, director of development for SouthSTAR Services.  As an event sponsor, Rose Paving is supporting more than 475 children and adults with disabilities.

The outing will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Lincolnshire Country Club in Crete.  We promise a day of golf, great food, good times and wonderful prizes.  The outing begins with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m., a light lunch midway through the course, buffet dinner and beverages throughout the day. There will also be plenty of chances to win great prizes.  This is an outing you don’t want to miss!  The cost of the outing is $150 and dinner only is $50. 

SouthSTAR provides a comprehensive array of programs to meet the complex needs of the individuals we it serves, including developmental training, job placement, work adjustment training, vocational evaluation, supported employment, community living, sheltered employment, advocacy, senior services and other support services.
