HERSHEY'S Track & Field Games Featuring Moderation Nation
HERSHEY’S Track & Field Games is the largest youth activity program of its kind in North America. It provides children ages 9-14 with an entry point to sport and recreation through running, jumping and throwing. Debi Pillarella, a local certified American Council on Exercise (ACE) trainer from the Community Hospital Fitness Pointe (Munster, Indiana), will lead all attendees in a family-friendly dance activity called the Moderation Nation Batuka Dance at the HERSHEY’S Track & Field Games. Participants can also take part in nutrition education with a registered dietitian.
All attendees are encouraged to bring worn-out athletic shoes for the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Drive. The Nike Reuse-A Shoe program creates new playgrounds and recreational surfaces out of recycled shoes.
